Around the cabin is a nice groomed yard area and then below the cabin is a nice patch of woods giving you privacy from the road below, but it is not so thick that you could not easily make a small trail on down to the creek. Island Run Creek basically makes up 2 sides of the property and it is generally wide and shallow on the property. There is a nice rocky bottom and a few deep holes for fishing and swimming, but I am sure after a decent rain you could take a canoe down to the Muskingum River which is only about 1/2 mile downstream.
